why is my hair so curly?

question: what makes curly hair curly?

answer: hair is made of protein (just like pretty much everything else inyour body). now in these proteins are sulfur atoms (called sulfides). when two sulfur atoms come together, they form what's called adisulfide bond. if two sulfur atoms are far apart in the same protein, and they come together to form that bond, the protein is going to bend accordingly. the more disulfide bonds, the curlier the hair. naturally curly hair has a lot of disulfide bonds. when people with straight hairget a 'perm' they are chemically forcing the making of disulfide bonds. these bonds are pretty strong too...very difficult to break. 'perm' is short for 'permanent wave' though a 'perm' isn't really permanent. as the new hair grows in, it will be straight and only the ends curly. And it's very difficult to straighten out naturally curly hair.

so there we have it. the answer to all my bad hair days. actually not really. i mean yes maybe. not technically the answer to my bad hair days, just the answer to my bad hair questions. i usually exclaim "WHY'S MY HAIR SO CURLY?!?!?!" hm. so that's the answer. it sounds too chem-ish. i don't like it. i am having a bad hair day. i smell like chlorine. my forehead looks unbelievably patchy and pimply. hmmm.

my ear infection seems to be getting better. hmm. but it still hurts. and getting the ear drops into the ear is the most weird thing.

weightloss this week has not been successful at all. nope. terrible terrible. i blame the lack of running.
